Mr. Terry Ray Foster, 61, of Newaygo, died Friday, March 30, 2012 in Grand Rapids. He was born Terry Ray Foster in Fremont, the son of Donna (Monroe) and Irving John Foster on January 31, 1951. He married Darlene Jones on March 12, 1978 in Michigan City, IN.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Foster of Newaygo, daughters, Donna & Zac Kyzar, 4 girls, 2 boys & 1 granddaughter of Milton, FL, Lori Foster USAF of Tampa, FL, Stephanie & (Rob Bowie) Foster, 3 girls of Newaygo, Stacie & Tim Perysian, 3 boys & 2 girls of Newaygo, Terri Foster of Newaygo, mother, Donna & Bob Edighoffer of Newaygo, brother‑in‑law, Larry Shuck of Strasburg, VA, many nieces and nephews and buddy the cat. He was preceded in death by his father Irving Foster, sister Linda Shuck, and brother Robert Foster.

Mr. Henry Geers, age 96 of Grant, on Thursday, March 29, 2012 slipped peacefully into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ. He was not only a builder of many earthly homes but his passion was building the Kingdom of God. He was born Henry Geers in Grant, the son of Jenny (DeVries) and John Henry Geers on May 8, 1915. He married Gertrude Scholtens on May 19, 1938 in Grant and she preceded him in death on March 14, 1991. He was a self employed carpenter until 1977. He was a member of Pine Grove Community Church near Howard City and was a past member of the Grant Lions Club.
He was survived by his daughter Helen & John DeJager of Grant, 4 grandchildren, 10 great‑grandchildren, his brother Harold & Elaine Geers of Jenison, his sister Lois & Al Klompien of Montana, his sisters‑in‑law Margaret Geers of Grant, Marjorie Geers of Kent city, brother in law Albert Timmermans of Jenison. He was preceded in death besides his wife Gertrude by his sons Herman, John and grandson Patrick.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM from the Pine Grove Community Church, Howard City on Sunday, April 1, 2012 with Pastor Bill Vis officiating. Mrs. Jayne Ann Bumstead, Age 83 of White Cloud, formerly of Newaygo, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in Fremont. She was born Jayne Ann Wilson in Muskegon, Michigan the daughter of Rebeccah (Bradshaw) and Sherman (Tuqumski) Wilson on January 17, 1929. She married Myron Joel Bumstead Jr. on September 19, 1947 in Bailey and he preceded her in death on January 27 2003. She was a self employed beautician. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughters Nannette & Charles Hooker of White Cloud, Mary & Brian Webb of Montague, Denise & Don Tufts of North Muskegon, Amber & Wayne Toppel of White Cloud, Stacie & Bryan Buckner of Hesperia, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, her brothers Roger & Bea Wilson, Ted & Darlene Wilson, and sisters in law Ruth Bumstead, Marie Wilson and Fanny Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband Myron Bumstead Jr., her daughter Barbara Bumstead, and her son Myron Bumstead III, six brothers, and 2 sisters. The Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 AM from the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo on Saturday, March 24, 2012 with Father Pete Schafer officiating. Mr. Vernon Glenn Welch, age 60 of Muskegon Heights, died Thursday, March 15, 2012 in Muskegon. He was born Vernon Glenn Welch in Grant, the son of Eva May (Hillis) and Glenn Lewis Welch on February 13, 1952. He was a Mechanic for 28 years.
He is survived by sons Glenn Welch of Grand Rapids, Jeremy & Tracey Welch of Fremont, Vernon Jr. Welch of Fremont, David & Sam Welch of Muskegon Heights, Nicholas Welch of Muskegon Heights, daughters Jordan Welch of Muskegon Heights, Carrie & Roger DeYoung of NC, Ashley & Paul Eyestone of Muskegon, 13 grandchildren, 4 great‑grandchildren, and 5 brothers and sisters.

Mr. Christopher Carl DuMont, age 25 of Fremont, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Dayton Twp. He was born Christopher Carl DuMont in Holland, the son of Janice Kay (Poll) and Ricki Carl DuMont on February 23, 1987.
He is survived by his parents Rick & Jan DuMont of Fremont, brothers Travis & Amanda DuMont of Morley, Zachary DuMont of Fremont, nephew & niece Clayton and Chevelle DuMont, grandmother Alice Poll of Fremont, grandfather Charles & Shirley Poll of Newaygo, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mrs. Donna J. Fisk, age 66 of Kent City, died Friday, March 16, 2012 in her home in Grant Twp. She was born Donna Jean Saxton in Casnovia Twp Muskegon Co., Michigan the daughter of Maytle (Towne) and LaVern Saxton on January 12, 1946. She married Richard Jay Fisk on December 23, 1964 in Rockford, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 2011. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children Art & Hali Fisk of Kent City, Scott & Tami Fisk of Kent City, Richard Fisk, Jr. of Howard City, LaVern & Tammy Fisk of Grant, Connie Fisk of Coral, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, her brothers Lyo & Norma Saxton of Rockford, Cleo & Vera Saxton of Grant, Dale & Lori Saxton of Wayland, Terry & Cindy Saxton of Conklin, Dean & Serenda Saxton of Wyoming, her sisters Dawn Brock of Newaygo, Diane Smith of Newaygo, Luann & Dan VanBelzen of Grant, she was preceded in death by her parents LaVern & Maytle Saxton, sister Rose Lieffers, brother Mike Saxton and step-son Gary Fisk.

Mrs. Marjory May Boissoneau, Age 87 of Newaygo, died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Fremont. She was born Marjory May Smith in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Daniel and Hazel Smith on May 21, 1924. She married Louis Joseph Boissoneau on September 16, 1950 in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1991. She was a Brooks Township Treasurer for many years and also worked for Jensen’s Flower Shop. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary in Newaygo. Marjory enjoyed knitting and creating crafts such as wooden bucket purses and feathered eggs. She is survived by her son Ross Boissoneau of Empire, her grandson Marc Boissoneau of Empire, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister and brother in law Jo & Don Buchan, and daughter in law Mary Boissoneau. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM at the McKinley Funeral Home in Newaygo on Friday, March 16, 2012. Visitation will be held 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Gerrit “Bob” Cornelius Dykhouse, age 91 of Grant, went to be with his Lord Monday, March 12, 2012 in Garfield Twp. He was born Gerrit Cornelius Dykhouse in Grant, the son of Hattie (Reents) and John Dykhouse on August 12, 1920. He married Betty Jane Abrahams on June 16, 1945 in Grant and she preceded him in death on July 6, 1985. He then married Doris J. Zimmerman on June 20, 1987 in Grant. He was a Plant Operator for City of Grant until 1987. He was a member of Grant Wesleyan Church. He was a veteran having served in the Army during World War II from October 1942 to September 1945 when he was discharged as a SGT.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Dykhouse of Grant, his children, Kay & Stuart Stone of Grant, Mary Jane & Richard Oakes of AZ, her children, Marva & Mike Yonker of Grand Haven, Ileen & Larry Hubbard of Grant, Connie & Earl VanDyke of Allegan, John & Elaine Zimmerman of White Cloud, Lynn & Suzanne Zimmerman of Rockford, Sheila & Don McQueen of Lowell, 21 grandchildren and 20 great‑grandchildren.

Mrs. Nellie C. Nelson, age 87 of Newaygo, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012 in Middleville. She was born Nellie Cornelia Bos in Highland Twsp., Osceola County, Michigan the daughter of Minnie (Feringa) and Cornelius Bos on July 8, 1924. She married Robert Francis Nelson on May 1, 1948 in Grand Rapids and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2011. She was a Homemaker all her life and was a member of Pine Grove Community Church near Howard City.
She is survived by her children Linda & William Sweers of Bronson, Richard & Julie Nelson of Lake Odessa, Thomas & Dala Nelson of Middleville, Patricia Shea of Dorr, Scott Nelson of Newaygo, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her sisters Sylvia Feyen, Gertrude Bos, and her brother Lewis & Elizabeth Bos.

Mrs. Donna M. Bottorff, age 82 of Leroy, formerly of Grant, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her son’s home in Leroy Township. She was born Donna Marie Lamrock in Hesperia, the daughter of Clara (Golden) and Max Lamrock on February 6, 1930. She married Carl Bottorff on January 1, 1947 in Hesperia and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1999. She was a LPN for St. Mary’s Hospital until 1987. She was a member of South Ensley United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxillary in Sheridan, Michigan.
She is survived by her sons Mike & Sandra Bottorff of Leroy, Donald Bottorff of Lansing, 7 grandchildren, several great‑grandchildren, her sister Anna Mae Spangenberg of Sparta.
