Mr. John E. Hancock, age 66 of Clarkston, and formerly of Grand Rapids, died Saturday, September 11, 2010 in Troy.   He was born John Edward Hancock in Grand Rapids, the son of Katherine Louise (Vanden Berg) and William Lewis Hancock on November 24, 1943.   He was a Computer Supervisor for Standard Federal, Troy Michigan retiring after 30 years.   He was a member of US Naval Reserves.     

He is survived by his sister Idamae & Ralph Shepard of Davisburg, his  nieces and nephews William & Brenda Shepard, Matthew Scott & Daisy Shepard, Jennifer Shepard, Katherine & Ryan Sharp, Sarah Shepard. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM from the Rosedale Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, Grand Rapids on Saturday, September 18, 2010. Interment in Rosedale Memorial Park.   Visitation 1‑3 PM Saturday prior to services.
